MAILBOX MOUNTING RACK
The invention relates to a mailbox mounting bracket to which a mailbox can be attached at its back. Further, the mounting bracket is in turn connected to a pillar structure which is most commonly supported by the ground.
Pillar-based individual mailboxes as well as mailbox groups with a common ground-based structure are known in the art. These mailboxes are most commonly located along streets, light traffic and roads, and even along the road. If there is traffic in the vicinity of the mailbox, there is a safety risk to visiting the mailbox, as these are almost invariably accessed from the side of the road.
The present invention solves mailbox access problems and now proposes a new mailbox mounting bracket that avoids traveling and staying in the traffic lane when dealing with a mailbox. The fastening bracket according to the invention is characterized in that the fastening bracket is a plate-like part connected to a first vertical column, which in turn is adapted to pivot on a second vertical column so that said bracket is rotatable vertically with said column at least 90 °.
An advantage of the invention is that mailbox operations can be done on the back of a mailbox or group of mailboxes. The mail distributor can also divide a mail box or a group of boxes from the back. The mailbox or each box of a mailbox group can be easily provided with a fastening arrangement according to the invention, which allows the mailbox to be rotated on its vertical fastening column, preferably about half a turn, thus easily emptying the mailbox fills and avoiding traffic.
In the following, the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which Figure 1 shows a rotating mailbox mounting bracket obliquely viewed.
Figure 2 shows a pivoting vertical column of a mounting bracket.
Figure 1 shows a plate-like mailbox mounting bracket 2 to which a mailbox is secured by its backing. the mounting bracket includes a handle 5, from which the mailbox can be rotated in a safe operating direction, i.e. the user behind the mailbox rotates the handle 5 towards itself in the operating direction. the mounting bracket 2 is connected to a vertical first column 7, which is a tube and extends clearly lower than the mounting bracket 2. This first column 7 is mounted on a second vertical column 1 to be rotated from a larger diameter tube to fit on the second vertical column 1.
The second vertical column 1 is supported on the ground or, in the case of a box group, the other vertical columns 1 are each arranged to extend upwards, e.g. from a common horizontal beam supported by its own feet.
Fig. 2 shows a solution for locking the first vertical column 7 to the second vertical column 1. The second vertical column 1 is provided with a groove 6 about half a turn long enough to allow the first vertical column 7 to rise e.g. 1.5-2 cm in the second vertical column. even though the pin 3 is mounted in the hole of the second vertical post 1. The end of the pin 3 comes out of the groove 6 by means of which the vertical columns 1 and 7 are locked together.
Figure 2 further showing a first vertical column 7 the lower edge 10 which is at least approximately half a turn of an angle. The pin 4 mounted in the hole 9 of the second vertical column 1 carries the mounting bracket and the shape of the lower edge 10 guides the mounting bracket 2 to rise as it is rotated by the user into the operating position for operation from the rear. This solution makes it easier for the mailbox to turn back in the direction of the traffic lane for the mail dispatcher and to stay in that direction.
Figures 1 and 2 show only one example of a mailbox rotation. Other mechanisms are also possible within the scope of the inventive idea of claim 1. In addition, the mounting bracket may include a detector-lit LED that, when entering the mailbox, illuminates the front of the mailbox and other appropriate areas.
